Oud

Resin-infused agarwood — one of the most expensive and prized materials in Middle Eastern perfumery. Dark, animalic, smoky, and leathery, with huge variation depending on origin and age. Real oud is rare and costly, so most Western “oud” fragrances use a synthetic approximation.
