Gourmand Note
230 fragrances in our directory are built around it.
In perfumery, vanilla rarely smells like the extract in your kitchen. It's built from vanillin and often blended with tonka bean, benzoin, or musk to create anything from a soft, powdery skin scent to a dark, resinous, almost smoky accord. It's one of the most universally loved notes — and one of the easiest to get wrong by going too sweet.
